The Pathways launch
AmplifyME launch Pathways at Bristol, and run their Financial Accelerator trading simulation on the night.
What Pathways is
A structured route through markets, banking and quant that runs all year and gets harder as you go. You start on on-demand foundations, move up through live workshops built around problems desks actually face, and finish each track with a careers masterclass and live Q&A.

Why it is worth turning up for
The simulations are assessed. That is the part most people miss: what you do in the room is scored, and the score follows you.
- Free access, for everyone. Every University of Bristol student gets Pathways at no cost. Most universities pay per student licence.
- Assessed performance. Every simulation is marked, and you can improve your score by repeating them across the term.
- Referrals to firms. AmplifyME invite top performers to their High Potential Candidate programme, which refers students to partner firms including Morgan Stanley. They say they only ever pass on positive referrals.
- Evidence for your CV. Performance data feeds a finance CV builder, and each completed track carries a certificate accredited by the London Institute of Banking & Finance.
- Leaderboards. Individual and university-level, so you can see where you sit — and where Bristol sits against everyone else.
- Deadlines in one place. An application tracker pre-loaded with internship and graduate deadlines.
The Financial Accelerator
The simulation running on the night. You are given a desk, a book and live market conditions, and you trade them. Everyone in the room is doing the same thing at the same time, so you can see immediately where your reasoning held and where it did not.
No prior experience is needed and nothing is assumed. If you have never placed a trade in your life, this is the session that shows you what the job actually involves.
